VIYAC - Young Koori Parents Report

As part of National Youth Week 2010, VIYAC hosted a Young Koori Parents Forum. The forum was an opportunity for young parents to voice their ideas, passions and concerns on issues important to them.

The forum also provided young parents the opportunity to network and be made aware of the services that are available to them.

VIYAC has developed a report from information gathered at the forum. The young parents provided a great insight into how they deal with issues they are facing and how services providers and organisations like VIYAC can support them and their young families.

VIYAC encourages all to read this report, particularly the recommendations that have been provided. We will be using this information to advocate as best we can for all Koori young parents in Victoria.
